You've Got To Taste Katastè

A friend introduced me Katastè (ka.tas.te), a new Kagay-anon sauce that you will surely love. At first, I just said ok, let's try it. But at the back of my mind, I said that this will surely be another so-so sauce that you can taste anywhere. Not until I tried the Katastè Inferno. It is not just a hot sauce that will burn your tongue, because when I first tasted it, I instantly love it, the spiciness of Katastè Inferno is not something like any other hot sauce that tastes and feels like an acid, because Katastè is savory and appetizing. You can even mix it with your rice for your meal without any "sud-an". But Katastè is best with any of your favorites like Burger, Pizza, Grilled chicken, pork and/or fish. I brought home a bottle of katastè and your choices to mix it with are endless.

I tried it with a simple pancit from "Caren" short for Carenderia and it was good, it became a special pancit compared to your favorite resto. I even tried it with fish soup cooked by my mom, I added a tablespoon of Katastè Inferno to a bowl of my fish soup and walla! I have a spicy hot and flavorful homemade fish soup. I don't like humba specially when the pork has too much fat in it, but I dipped it into a Katastè Inferno and I finished 1 serving of Pork Humba without having that ewwy feeling about the fatty-porky-oily humba.


One thing I can say about Katastè Inferno, a simple food becomes special when you add a Katastè. Since I've got a bottle of Katastè, I always add it to my "sud-an" to make it more appetizing. From my breakfast, lunch and to my dinner, Katastè always make my meal extra special. As a local TV program says, "Dili kumpleto ang akong adlaw kung walay Pamahaw Espesyal!" With Katastè, I can also say, "Kumpleto na akong kaon kung naay Katastè sa akong pamahaw nga espesyal!
