Cagayan de Oro City Government together with Kagay-anon International, Cagayan de Oro City Tourism Council, City Tourism Office and City Historical and Cultural Commission for the ribbon cutting of the new Duaw Kagay-an Park this afternoon February 27, 2016. The event was attended by the City Mayor Oscar Moreno.
Part of the activity was the blessing of a life size replica of the "Berhin sa Kota sa Cagayan de Oro" in the morning. It has been told that the location where the replica has been situated now is the approximate place of the apparition of the Virgin Mary of the Holy Rosary where she appeared to save the people of Cagayan de Oro then from an attacking forces enemy.
