The New Diversion Coastal Road from Opol to Iponan and to Bulua Terminal has now been connected, the new bridge along Iponan river connected to Bulua Bus Terminal has been passable months ago (As seen on the Aerial photo above) but the road connecting from Bulua Terminal to Bayabas area and to Barangay Kauswagan are still on the go, as road construction between Bulua and Bayabas area are still being constructed because of the delays of land owners' negotiation and some relocation of some residences along the area.

(Coastal Diversion Access Road From New Iponan Bridge to the Bulua Bus Terminal. From Bulua Bus Terminal to the road going upper part of the photo is the road access to Bayabas area, then it connects to that curved road on the upper-right corner going to Capisnon road.)

The road from Bayabas to Kauswagan-Puntod Bridge are almost done that links to the CDO City Port (Pier) road in Barangay Puntod, there are only some minor Electrical Pole relocation needed for the road widening and drainage system. After the electrical pole relocation, road widening from Bayabas to Kauswagan-Puntod Bridge will go smoothly and will continue until the end of the Kauswagan-Puntod Bridge, that's for the west side of the CDO Diversion Coastal Road.

The western part of the CDO New Diversion Coastal Road when finished will connect directly from Opol passing the new Iponan Bridge straight ahead to the Bulua Integrated Bus Terminal, then continues to Bayabas area passing Capisnon road in Kauswagan to the Kauswagan-Puntod Bridge connecting to the road going to the City Port (Pier area). I still didn't see any progress on the road widening along the City Port road area in Puntod, but I guess it will commence once coastal road from Opol to Puntod Bridge completed.

The Eastern part of the diversion road has been started from Gusa area to Lapasan going straight to the Agora Bus Terminal then connects to the Kauswagan-Puntod Bridge, Check at CDODev.com for the latest updates on the Eastern Part of the Coastal Diversion Road in Cagayan de Oro City.
