The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) will once again be at the forefront in the annual observance of the National Crime Prevention Week on September 1-7, here.
The technical working group (TWG), composed of NAPOLCOM, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BFP), Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED), has lined up a series of weeklong activity aimed at promoting and increasing awareness among the general public of its vital role in the fight against crime, bared Director Ramon M. RaƱeses, NAPOLCOM-10 regional director.
With the theme, "Malasakit Mo ay Kailangan upang Krimen ay Maiwasan," (Your adherence is need to prevent crimes) this year’s celebration will be highlighted by a kick-off ceremony on September 2, 2013 starting with a motorcade around the city to be participated in by member-agencies of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC)-10 and various schools in the city.
The motorcade will commence at the historic Gaston Park at 7 a.m. and will end at Camp Vicente Alagar where awarding ceremonies for the winners of the search of Police Excellence and PNP Gallantry would be held.
