Corpus Christi School Leads the Way in the 26th Milo Little Olympics Mindanao Leg

Corpus Christi School sealed its bid for the regional crown by outlasting competitors in the 13 sporting events that commenced in the elementary and secondary divisions.

Corpus Christi School elementary division bets took the lead in basketball, lawn tennis, taekwondo, volleyball and badminton, but trailed behind division runner-up Cagayan de Oro City Central School (98.5) in gymnastics and scrabble to settle a slim difference of 9 points. Iligan City Central School was a distant third in the leader board with 66 points. Sta. Maria Central School-Zamboanga (65), Cugman Elementary School (56), Xavier University Grade School-Cagayan de Oro City (55.5), Magugpo Pilot Central Elementary School-Tagum City (52), Koronadal Southern Elementary School (48), Tangub City Central School (44.67), and Igpit Elementary School-Misamis Orientral (35) completed the top ten cast in the elementary division.

In the secondary division, Corpus Christi relegated opponents in gymnastics, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, swimming and basketball. In a heated bid for second place, MOGCHS dislodged counterparts in chess, scrabble and athletics to post 115 points, followed by Iligan City National High School (73).General Santos City National High School (71), Tangub City National High School (70), Xavier University High School (41), Tagum City National High School (38), La Salle Academy-Iligan City (36.8), Bukidnon National High School (34), Surigao Del Norte National High School (30), and Southcom National High School-Zamboanga (30) settled for the fourth to last places, respectively, in the secondary level competition.
